FlowPost lets merchants send transactional email from Shopify Flow through their own email infrastructure.
Core concepts
- Flow action — “Send transactional email” runs inside a Shopify Flow workflow.
- Providers — SMTP or API services you configure in Settings.
- Fallback — optional secondary provider used when the primary send fails.
- Templates — reusable subject/HTML you can copy into Flow.
- Logs — history of sends for troubleshooting.
- Attachments — HTTPS file URLs on the Flow action (max 5).
- Delivery tracking — provider webhooks update log status (Growth / Scale / Trial).

Flow action fields
To, Subject, HTML body, preview text, reply-to, from name, from email, and attachment URLs (one HTTPS URL per line).
Webhooks
- App uninstall and scopes update webhooks keep shop state in sync.
- Mandatory compliance webhooks support customer/shop data requests and redaction.
- Delivery webhooks:
/webhooks/resend,/webhooks/sendgrid,/webhooks/mailgun,/webhooks/postmark— update delivered / bounced / complained when your plan includes delivery tracking.
